The project site is located in the middle of a dense residential area with some rural scenery still left.
The client decided to renovate their house as it had become quite old.
We first asked them to make a list of inconveniences regarding their old house.
Then we started arranging the list before designing and learned that their major inconvenience was regarding their privacy in the old house since the windows were located in a position that was visible to neighbors.
We planned a few windows in the living room and made sure the living room gets sunlight from the staircase and the balcony, which are given windows to get as much sun light as possible.
With this, the living room gets the most of the light through the staircase and the balcony on the south corner, and it also enters from the kids’ room through the windows between the living room and the kids’ room.

The utility room has large windows that can be fully opened to dry the laundry on a fine day.
We also designed the open stair for efficient ventilation of the entire house as well as for getting sunlight.
For this project, we planned a master bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet on the ground floor, and a living room on the second floor for privacy reasons.
We could succeed in designing a house that provides as much privacy as possible.
While at the same time the living room where the family gets together is bright, spacious, and comfortable.
