HOUSE MACHIDA

This house is planned on a site on top of a small hill.
The area surrounding the project site is very nice, blessed with parks and lush greenery, while the neighborhood of the site is a typical residential area with dense housing.

The second-floor level on the east side of the property offers the best view of this site overlooking the city, so the standard method would be to build a living balcony on the second floor.
However, the client acquired this large site because of the desire to live with a garden nearby, and in order to meet this request to the maximum extent possible, we started this project with the concept of planning a terrace connected to the living room on the first floor with the greatest consideration for privacy.

The living room, which was designed to be used as one with the garden, is enclosed by an exterior wall so that it cannot be seen from the outside, and a large opening has been created on its garden side.

client requested that the entrance hall give a bright and spacious feeling, so we created a stairwell to provide a large space, visually integrating the garden, living room, entrance hall, and the space to the second floor.
By carefully reading and planning the characteristics of the site with the utmost respect for the client's requests, we have created an attractive house where every space is full of light and the garden is always close by, allowing the client to enjoy life to the fullest.
